The End

Organized by Stradivaria since 2015 and supported by the City of Nantes, the City of Angers, in partnership with the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, the International Competition of Early Music of the Loire Valley (CIMA) has accompanied the emergence of young European instrumental ensembles.

In a very constrained budgetary framework, amplified by the cessation of funding from the Pays de la Loire Regional Council, Stradivaria has chosen to refocus on its creation and distribution activity and has therefore announced the end of the Val de Loire International Early Music Competition (CIMA).

Stradivaria thanks the personalities invited to the jury of each edition for their commitment.

The International Early Music Competition in Loire Valley is a contest addressed to instrumental ensembles performing a repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries on period instruments (Baroque chamber ensembles)

Organized by Stradivaria-Ensemble Baroque de Nantes, this competition aims to promote ensembles of young musicians who specialize in this repertoire.
